According to international Science and Studies Monitoring and Analysis Center (MOSTA) experts, who assessed all Lithuanian higher education institutions this autumn, School of Economics and Business of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU SEB) has made good progress in three years and has become a strong international player. The School’s potential was evaluated with the highest score.

International experts point out that KTU SEB exceeds the demands of Lithuanian legislations in order to meet the standards of international business schools, which is exceptional in the national context. During the evaluation, the Bloomberg Financial Markets Laboratory, which has been operating in the School since 2015, was highlighted as a valuable resource extremely beneficial for study and research purposes. The School’s ambition to gain international accreditations from the (AACSB and EQUIS) is, according to experts, a clear strategic direction – to be one of the best international business schools in global market.

“The focused work of KTU SEB researchers, participation in international networks of researchers, cooperation with the best business schools in the world, internships of researchers in them, implementation of significant international and national projects and publication of their results in the highest ranked journals has revealed the KTU SEB research potential. The work done and the results achieved were also welcomed by international experts”, says Kęstutis Duoba, KTU SEB Vice-Dean for Research.

“The highest score from MOSTA experts for potential is a result of the focused efforts of KTU SEB to combine study and research processes, to constantly improve quality in both areas. KTU reform of study and research management and international accreditation of KTU SEB allows us to achieve this goal”, says Edita Gimžauskienė, Dean of KTU SEB.

In 2015, the team of international MOSTA experts rated KTU SEB as a strong national market participant, based on evaluation of its research quality and economic and social impact on society. In 2018, KTU SEB has stepped onto another, international level.
