On Friday, the first KTU graduation ceremony of this year took place at the Santaka Valley of Kaunas University of Technology. Diplomas were awarded to nearly 200 graduates, among them – almost 30 international graduates.
On Friday, the first KTU graduation ceremony of this year took place at the Santaka Valley of Kaunas University of Technology. Diplomas were awarded to nearly 200 graduates, among them – almost 30 international graduates.
“The diploma is a living document, a reminder of the student frenzy, the sleepless nights, the friends and lecturers who encouraged your love for academic activities. I sincerely congratulate you on reaching this milestone. I do not doubt that you will return to the university many times because life requires constant learning and connections to the community. I hope that the motto of our University – the Human side of technology – will guide you in your role of developing our society,” said Eugenijus Valatka, KTU Rector.
The diplomas were awarded to the Master’s Degree holders of the Faculty of Economics and Business (SEB), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design (MIDF), the Faculty of Chemical Technology (CTF), the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (FHSA) and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (FCA), as well as to all the University’s Doctor of Science (PhD) candidates.
A total of 197 graduates received their diplomas this time. Of these, 1 graduated with a bachelor’s degree, 178 – with master’s degrees, and 18 – with PhDs.
During this Graduation Ceremony, 27 international graduates from Egypt, Ukraine, India, Iran, the USA, Lebanon, Nigeria, France, Tajikistan, and Turkey collected their diplomas.
Tomas Urbonas, a KTU alumnus and the Head of the Sonaro software company was a guest at the KTU Graduation Celebration. In his speech, he encouraged the graduates to foster their ties with the university and join the KTU Alumni Association.
“Your academic journey has been marked by perseverance, desire and dreams. However, the University has given you not only knowledge but values, the opportunity, and the will to use that knowledge. This is not the end; you can always be a part of this University and make memories together,” said Urbonas.
At noon on the same day, 42 Master’s degree holders of KTU Panevėžys Faculty of Technology and Business.
