Professor Klaus Schwab, the Founder of WEF to Become the 45th Honorary Doctor of KTU

Next Friday, 13 October Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) will award the regalia of honorary doctor of KTU to Professor Klaus Schwab, the renowned economist and engineer, the Founder and Executive Chairman of World Economic Forum. On the same day Professor Klaus Schwab will deliver an open lecture to students and all academic community.

The honorary doctorate for Professor Klaus Martin Schwab will be awarded for spreading the knowledge on economy and innovative ideas, for fostering social entrepreneurship and support for young businesses, and for his contribution into developing the concept of the 4th industrial revolution.

“The greatest change in the world today is that the young do not learn from the old, they teach the old about the world today”, says Professor Schwab, who is the founder and supporter of numerous initiatives for the young people.

Professor Klaus Schwab has been actively cooperating with Lithuania since 1990 when our country was invited to participate in the World Economic Forum. In 2009 Professor was awarded Order for Merits to Lithuania Commander’s Cross by the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus.
