In 2022, choose a university, which counts 100 years since its establishment in Kaunas, a European Capital of Culture.

“Kaunas is a nice city to live in. It can provide everything one may need, starting from tranquil walks in the local parks and ending with vibrant coffee shops and bars in the Old Town. There are a lot of local and international students around and plenty of nice places to meet new people and make new acquaintances,” says Konstantinos Loukas a KTU Mechatronics student from Greece.

According to him, Kaunas is full of convenient facilities, such as rentable scooters, bicycles, cars, massive shopping malls, grocery delivery services, plus, students have discounts on public transportation. All of this makes life for an international student, who does not speak the local language, much easier. Also, Lithuanians have a good command of English, which makes one even more comfortable.

Kostas, being an EU citizen can study at KTU for free, in a state-funded place. Besides, the University offers tuition fee waivers and several scholarships for international students.

In QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (QS EECA) Rankings 2022, KTU is among the 55 best universities in emerging Europe and Central Asia. According to QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, the cooperation between the students and employers – the number of companies involved in the study process, the opportunities provided for the talented students – is very highly ranked. According to this criterion, KTU is the 181st in the world.

Being internationally oriented, KTU welcomes students from diverse cultures and countries. Over 650 international students from more than 40 countries are studying at KTU. Here at KTU, we speak a universal language of science. We invite curious and motivated young people willing to learn and to produce new insights, which would expand and challenge our understanding of the world around us.
