On October 21–25 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) will host an international ERASMUS+ teaching week. Global Faculty Week 2019, organised by the Department of International Relations, will invite teachers from 17 countries who will give lectures to KTU students across the faculties.
“Although we have been organising international weeks since 2014, the international teaching week is taking place for the first time. Visiting teachers are coming to KTU all the time, however, this is the first time when tens of them are teaching simultaneously in various study programmes. Alongside lecturers from Europe, we will be having teachers from Brazil, Columbia, Mexico, Israel. I am convinced that the knowledge and experience shared during their visit will be useful not only for our students but also for the KTU teachers”, says Gintarė Vilbikienė, Head of the KTU Academic Mobility Office.
The teachers from foreign universities will give lectures at various KTU faculties in such a way enhancing the internationality dimension across the campus. The international guests will participate in creative workshops organised by KTU EDU_Lab and the teachers of the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and will have the opportunity to get acquainted with our university. In addition, the guests will be invited to the city tours in Kaunas, Vilnius and Trakai.
KTU teachers who are willing to get to know their international colleagues in an informal setting are invited to participate in the Networking Café, which will take place at 6 pm on Tuesday, October 22 at the Profesorius Café at KTU Santaka Valley.
