In the newly released national rankings, provided by the “Reitingai” magazine, Kaunas University of Technology scored 60.34 points, leading among engineering universities for achievements in science, arts, sports, and the added value it creates for the national economy.
KTU’s share of the state-funded study places for the freshers is second largest among Lithuanian universities, and its graduates are valued for matching employer expectations in knowledge and skills.
KTU is also a leader among Lithuanian universities in terms of the number of orders for R&D projects for the country’s economic entities (in terms of value), as well as in terms of the results of the formal evaluation of research papers in the field of technological sciences in 2023.
Moreover, KTU graduates are among the most valued in the country.
“According to the results of the survey of employers carried out by the organisers of the ranking and the assessment of the relevance of KTU alumni’s knowledge and abilities to the needs of the company, our alumni are among the best,” emphasises Agnė Latvelė, Project Manager of the KTU’s Strategy and Quality Management Department.
Even though KTU is one of the universities with the highest entrance requirements, it is still the second in terms of the ratio of the most talented graduates enrolled in 2024, who passed the state matriculation exams with a score between 86 and 100.
Another area where KTU is a leader is the number of PhD students from abroad. KTU has the largest number of international students in Lithuania in this study level. KTU is also ranked as the second best university in Lithuania in terms of the ratio of lecturers with PhD/art doctorate degrees to all lecturers.
