According to national rankings, KTU leads in technology, engineering and accounting

According to the “Reitingai” magazine, Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) was ranked second in Lithuania in bachelor’s, master’s and integrated study fields.

Today, for the eleventh time, “Reitingai” (Eng. Rankings) magazine published its comparative university rankings, assessing 93 undergraduate and postgraduate study branches.

KTU was ranked second and is the leader in 10 (last year – 8) fields of study. This year KTU offered the strongest study programmes in Polymers and Textiles, Materials, Food, Natural Resource Technologies, Informatics, Information Systems, Electronics, Electrical, Energy and Chemical Engineering.

A key parameter of this assessment is the employers’ satisfaction with the quality of graduates entering the job market in each field of study. The employers’ questionnaire opinion weighed 30 out of 100 points.

Employers from all sectors of the economy including the public sector were asked from which universities and study branches graduates work for them, and to assess their training and professional qualities. The sociological research company Prime Consulting surveyed 2,270 employers from all regions of Lithuania. The survey was carried out August 1–28, 2024.

KTU was also ranked second for the quality of postgraduate studies graduates in 12 (last year – 9) study branches.

This year KTU offered the strongest master’s degree programmes in Informatics Engineering, Software Systems, Information Systems, Polymers and Textiles, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical, Energy, Chemical Engineering and Accounting.
