The international committee of experts has awarded the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) Informatics Engineering study programme the Euro-Inf Quality Label. In their report the experts, who audited the programme this spring, underlined the exceptionally high qualifications of the teachers and the excellent study infrastructure.
The Study Programme was audited by European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE), which aims to promote the implementation of quality assessment practice for informatics education systems in Europe and beyond. In particular, EQANIE helps to build confidence in systems of accreditation of informatics degree programmes within Europe.
“The excellent evaluation of our programme by the experts of the education in informatics means that the studies we deliver are of the highest level”, says Agnius Liutkevičius, Head of the Informatics Engineering programmes study branch.
The Informatics Engineering study programme has been continuously improved and updated, in line to EQANIE requirements, by its supervisor Professor Egidijus Kazanavičius, who is the Director at Centre of Real Time Computer Systems, KTU. He supervised the quality of the programme, so it matched the highest quality standards; the efforts were rewarded by the Euro-Inf Quality Label.
EQANIE is the partner of higher education institutions and their associations, economic enterprises and professional organisations as well as students and their associations from the field of informatics, computer science and electrical engineering. The Euro-Inf Quality Label is awarded to degree programmes at Bachelor’s and Master’s level that comply with the Euro-Inf Framework Standards and Accreditation Criteria.
