“The world needs leadership, on both sides of the Atlantic”, boldly stated Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius. While greeting the 94th edition of the Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) graduates, Linkevičius proudly reminded the audience that he is a KTU alumni.
Last Friday the KTU diplomas were issued to more than 250 KTU graduates (14 of them – from other countries). Diplomas were awarded to the graduates of 5 faculties, and to the PhD studies graduates from all university.
Politicians, society figures and businessmen greeted KTU graduates in two languages, sharing their insights and tips on success. KTU Rector Petras Baršauskas and the Chairman of the Senate wished them good luck in the future endeavours.
“There are four things important in your way: always have your goal before your eyes, seek new knowledge, work hard and, finally, never lose patience”, said KTU Rector.
Jurga Šeduikytė, a singer and an artist delivered an exceptional performance for all the graduates and their guests, which she started with a touching personal story about her student years.
According to career monitoring system Karjera.lt, almost 70% of KTU Bachelors and almost 84% of KTU Masters find jobs during the first 6 months after graduation.
228 bachelors and masters, and 26 doctors graduated from KTU this winter.
