During the general admissions, all the applicants are ranked according to their admission score and become candidates to a state-funded study place. All EU nationals and global citizens of Lithuanian origin are granted this opportunity.
Although the ways to the successful career are as varied as its definitions, research shows that employees holding Master’s degrees have better salaries, are more definite about their career goals and better equipped to achieve them. Various analyses show that professionals with broad skill set are most valuable in today’s job market, and Master’s studies is one of the most certain ways to achieve this.
Often people choosing to study on master’s level seek to expand their knowledge; they set more ambitious goals to themselves, pursue higher job positions. Also, some management-level jobs require a Master’s degree.
In 2020, the number of state-funded study places to study at the master’s level at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) grew by 30 compared to the last year. The largest increase was in business and public management field (check out MSc International Business) and informatics (MSc Informatics). In total, 821 state-funded master’s study places are available at KTU this year.
“State funding is largely depending on the University’s scientific achievements. The increase shows that our study quality is constantly growing”, says KTU Vice-Rector for Studies Jonas Čeponis.
According to national rankings announced on May 6, 2020, KTU’s academic staff is the best in Lithuania, the University’s studies are very well ranked by students and the employers. KTU is the 2nd best university in Lithuania.
