Bengisu Yilmaz, a PhD student at KTU Ultrasound Research Institute, was acknowledged internationally – she was awarded a prestigious student grant by the Acoustical Society of America (ASA). The ASA provides grants of USD 1,000 to students enrolled in acoustic research programs at universities or technical institutes in developing countries.
The American Acoustics Association is the world’s largest organisation, bringing together the best U.S. scientists, engineers, and professionals working in the fields of acoustics and ultrasound.
The International Research and Education Committee of the American Acoustics Association accepted the decision to award a one-time USD 1,000 grant. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students working in acoustics.
