KTU SocialErasmus Week: From Dance Classes to Kite Festival and Concert

From Monday 2 May SocialErasmus Week full of events for international and local students starts. Erasmus Student Network at Kaunas University of Technology (ESN KTU) is inviting all to become more socially responsible while enjoying spring in good company, mingling and networking, having good time.

From discussions on social problems, to cultural events and activities for nursing individual talents – everyone will find an event for their liking. The focus of all the events is social responsibility – be it performing on stage for charity or flying kites with children from a foster home.

Food Sorting event on Monday will provide a possibility to talk to people who are performing noble mission of organising food donation for those in need. The discussion will also touch upon the topics of food wasting and recycling.

Tuesday will offer a discussion on tolerance and aggression followed by self-defence class by the Lithuanian Kick Boxing Champion. And those more culturally-minded are invited to the short film night Culture and Cinema on Wednesday, followed by discussion.

Thursday event Talent Show will be appreciated by those, who enjoy stage, and Friday’s dance lessons will provide a perfect opportunity to learn a couple of dance steps and (hopefully) enjoy a sunny day outside.

Kite Festival in pictorial Zapyškis town near Kaunas will unite SocialErasmus Week participants and children from foster home Atžalynas. Together they will fly kites and enjoy music by one of the most original Lithuanian music groups Liūdni Slibinai.
