On September 1–9 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) will invite all the freshers and returning students to celebrate the start of the new academic year with a full week of events. Creating Moments Welcome Week 2020 programme is packed with meetings with celebrities, concerts, picnics and the christening of freshers Colour Run.
The organisers of the Creating Moments Welcome Week 2020 fest are promising a full range of activities: from campus and city tours to picnics together with your new dormitory mates, from talk shows with celebrities to concerts, from the light tunnel and climbing to chilling in the food truck zone, from seminars introducing KTU organisations to freshers’ christening event Colour Run.
“From the welcome week in my first days at the university, I remember emotions and feeling of belonging to a community. This kind of event makes the start of the new academic year more interesting and fun, to get to know the campus life, to find out about student organisations and to hear inspiring stories”, says Kristė Skaudaitė, the President of KTU Students Union.
The key event of the Welcome Week, Colour Run aka the christening of the freshers will take place next Wednesday, September 9 from 2.30 until 7 pm. During Colour Run, the freshers need to run to overcome the challenges under the “rain” of colourful powder.
“The christening event is a fun way to get to know each other better”, says Skaudaitė.
After Colour Run everybody is invited to the final concert next to the Mechanical Engineering and Design Faculty building.
