Yesterday, on 7 November, at the meeting of the KTU Council held in the Santaka Valley, a vote was held on the candidates for the positions of Vice-Rectors.
The Rector Eugenijus Valatka stressed that the members of the Vice-Rectorial team should be ready to jointly pursue the strategic goals by actively developing science, studies, innovations, strategic partnerships and human capital to implement the University’s strategy.
The following nominations have been submitted to the University Council on the recommendation of the Rector:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristina Ukvalbergienė for the position of Vice-Rector of Education of Kaunas University of Technology;
- Prof. Dr. Kęstutis Baltakys for the position of Vice-Rector for Research of Kaunas University of Technology;
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evelina Meilienė for the position of Vice-Rector for Community Affairs of Kaunas University of Technology;
- Prof. Dr. Edita Gimžauskienė for the position of Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnerships of Kaunas University of Technology.
By secret ballot, all candidates for the positions of Vice-Rectors were approved and appointed to perform the above-mentioned duties.
The Rector thanks the entire University community for their support and wishes the newly elected team the best of luck.
The new Rector’s team will begin their duties on 13 November.
