Virtual GO Abroad Fair 2022

Find studies or traineeship destination that matches your personal and academic goals the best!

Date: January 24-25

Place: ZOOM platform

At the virtual fair:

  • Learn more about ERASMUS+ and bilateral exchange programmes and experience of former exchange students;
  • Meet virtually with universities and organisations from all around the world, chat live with their representatives;
  • Consult your KTU academic mobility coordinators;
  • Participate in the quiz and win great prizes!

No registration for students needed, check the Programme and the list of participants bellow (will be uploaded soon) and join the sessions from there.

Partner registration for virtual GO Abroad Fair 2022

Time for online sessions will be Eastern European time zone (EET). Please keep your presentation up to 10 minutes long, presenting the studies/traineeship opportunities for KTU students. Please note that the exact time for your presentation will be set after the registration and sent to you personally. We will inform you about the schedule and send the link to the Zoom session after 10 January 2022. We would also appreciate if you could spend some time and stay connected after your presentation to answer the students’ questions via the ZOOM chat box. Thank you in advance!

About Event

GO Abroad Fair have happened for the eighth year, however it was the first time that it was organized fully virtually. Partners from 41 universities located in 22 countries have visited the fair and shared exchange opportunities with KTU students. Guests from Europe,  Georgia, Armenia, USA, Mexico, Republic of South Africa, India, China, Taiwan and South Korea. In addition to partner universities, participants of the fair had a chance to meet with the representatives of companies and enterprises to get familiar with traineeship opportunities. To cap it all of, there were KTU students themselves sharing their experience abroad to encourage others to take the step towards this adventure

Traineeship Webinar Week

Date: April 20-23

Description: 4 webinars on diffeent aspects of traineeships abroad were delivered to help students to organize their preparation process from a good CV and LinkedIn application through decission which traineeship type to choose to preparation and successful engagement in the multicultural environment in the traineeship organisation abroad.

All webinars were supported with the present or past trainees experience and recommendations.

Information about studies, training & research opportunities abroad, offered by BALTECH and NORDTEK networks, DAAD, DBU and EDUCATION EXCHANGES SUPPORT FOUNDATION as well as novelties of ERASMUS+” programme.

If you are not sure what Erasmus+ opportunities are and how you can use it, this is what you are looking for! Our Academic Mobility specialists will greet you with a cup of coffee and answer all your questions and doubts.

If you are a former KTU exchange student, we invite you to attend GO Abroad Fair 2020 to represent your host university.

Who is better to promote foreign universities and give our prospective exchange students important advice than you?

At the fair, Each University will be organized by country, and each country will have a group of stands and tables. As a participant, you are welcome to take promotional material, photos, etc. You can take a friend or two who went on exchange with you and you can represent your university together.

The deadline for registration is 6th February.

REGULATIONS

  1. The contest takes place until the end of your mobility period but no later than 20th December 2020.
  2. The contest is open only for KTU students and graduates already selected and leaving for an academic exchange programme.
  3. The application is open from 21st January until 1st of February 2020.
  4. Your application must meet all the requirements of this contest, as specified in the application form, to be eligible to win a prize. Applications that are incomplete or do not adhere to the requirements will be declined. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of selection as final and binding as it relates to the content of this contest.

 

WINNER Selection:

On the 7 February 2020, 3 students will be nominated to become the Exchange ambassadors.

Only participants, selected to become Exchange Ambassadors will be notified. The information will be sent by an email. If an Exchange Ambassador cannot be contacted, an alternate student will be nominated.

An Exchange Ambassador agrees at least twice a month to send a good quality and unique photo together with a short blog story on the given topic (up to 150 words):

  • the beginning of your trip to the exchange study / traineeship place
  • first impressions on your arrival to the host university / company
  • the main aspects and characteristics of exchange studies / traineeship place
  • your accommodation in exchange country
  • leisure and free time in exchange country
  • discovering local food of exchange country
  • new colleagues and friends in exchange country
  • socializing with locals in exchange country
  • exploring the best tourist attractions of that country
  • culture of the exchange country
  • everyday activities during your exchange studies / traineeship
  • etc.

Use #DISCOVERedErasmus2020 for @ktustudentlife and @ktuspace (for Instagram posts and stories) as well as for @ktustudentams (for Facebook posts).

An ambassador agrees to share personal data (name and surname; faculty, exchange location and a personal content (stories and photos)) according to the rules of this contest.

The PRIZE:

An eBOOK READER will be given away as a reward at the end of Exchange Ambassador’s mobility period by KTU International Relations Department.

The publishing cost of a PREMIUM quality personalized PHOTO BOOK created only with Polarsteps App (www.polarsteps.com) will be covered at the end of every ambassador’s mobility period upon individual request but no later than 20th December 2020 (you need to use Polarsteps App during your exchange to create the PHOTO BOOK).

Limitation of Liability:

By entering this contest, you agree to release and hold harmless KTU International Relations Department to any claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the contest and / or his / her acceptance, possession; (ii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the contest; (iii) electronic or human error in the administration of the contest or the processing of applications.
