Two international students, Muhammad Ishtiaq and Parthiban Siddenshwaran, are among 60 Rector’s Scholarship winners this semester. Rector’s Scholarships are being awarded to those KTU students, who demonstrate exceptional study and research results.
After congratulating and awarding the most talented University’s students, KTU Rector Petras Baršauskas invited them to participate in a discussion about the new examination rules and regulations, talent fostering programmes and work placement opportunities during studies.
KTU’s teachers, students and representatives of business discussed the challenges of achieving academic honesty and their possible solutions. The means of motivating students of taking work placements and study opportunities abroad were considered. International students inspired a lively discussion about possibilities to attract talented students from other countries, and shared their good practice experience from studies.
Both the Rector and students agreed that in order to encourage growth towards ambitious and responsible personality, teachers and students must work together in increasing the motivation to teach and learn.
