27 April 2017 the 16th international competition of young researchers’ innovations will take place. The traditional event, the festival of innovation ir being organised by Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) for inventors, science enthusiasts and business professionals. It will take place at KTU Santaka Valley.
“It is not a problem, if you have an idea, but are not sure if you you’ll be able to make a prototype in time for the event. It is more important to participate and to provide at least minimal visuals of the idea, such as drawings or pictures”, says Donatas Smailys, Head of KTU’s Startup Space.
According to Smailys, last year’s Technorama winners almost missed their chance, as they wanted to cancel their registration due to not having the finished prototype ready for the event. Encouraged by the organisers, they not only decided to participate, but also won the 1st place in the competition.
The inventions in the competition will be divided into different categories: chemical technologies, economics, social sciences and humanities, design, mechanical engineering, civil engineering and architecture, natural sciences and mathematics, information technologies, electrical, electronics and energy engineering, health sciences and interdisciplinary innovations.
The prize fund for Technorama 2017 is EUR 5 000, and this is the largest fund in the event’s history.
