KTU admissions open – start studying in September 2025

Important | 2024-10-15

This week, KTU opens admissions to international students. Check out the available programmes, explore the possibilities, chat with student ambassadors and apply. Admissions are open until June 30, 2025.

Numerous possibilities to study and do internships abroad, hands-on experience in using the latest software, doing research in the Kaunas University of Technology with high-end laboratory equipment, practical education, and a safe and calm city full of students – these are but a few advantages of studying in KTU according to our students.

“Kaunas is a very comfortable city, small enough to move freely around with public transportation, but sufficiently big to have all types of places that students need or enjoy, such as malls, restaurants, museums and party places,” says Nieves Ganghe Pedros Chamorro, a KTU chemical technology and engineering student from Spain.

Being from Spain, Nieves Ganghe could opt for a tuition-free education as an EU citizen.

The University offers tuition fee waivers and scholarships for international students, and there are plenty of opportunities to get a scholarship once you are already enrolled.

Before coming to Lithuania, Maria Rosa Rojas Noguera from Venezuela studied bachelor’s in physics. But as she recalls, the subject was too abstract for her. “I could mathematically explain Maxwell’s equations, but I couldn’t tell you how wireless communication works,” she says.

Maria knew she wanted to continue studying and realised that medical physics could be the right choice during her internships. “But at the time, the dream was too big, and the situation in Venezuela was not the best, so going for a master’s abroad just wasn’t possible for me,” recalls Maria.

Now, she is a proud recipient of the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship, which allows her to study MSc Medical Physics at KTU.
