Synthesis of novel electroactive compounds containing donor and acceptor fragments

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-15-0005

Project description:

The aim of this project is to improve the student’s scientific competences. During the project student will be introduced to new methods of synthesis, structural analysis of organic compounds and the processing and generalization of the obtained research results. The student will synthesize a series of organic compounds containing various donor fragments, such as acridan, carbazole, phenothiazine and diphenylamine moieties and a quinazoline acceptor moiety. Nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry will be used for structure analysis.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

The project went according to the plan. New series of electroactive organic compounds was synthesized and characterized. Student gained research and work in the laboratory experience. She also gained some knowledge in structure analysis techniques, such as nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry,
