Synthesis and investigation of semiconductor materials for electronic devices

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-24-0096

Project description:

The aim of this project is to promote the readiness of young researchers to carry out research and to improve their scientific qualifications. During the research, new methods of synthesis, analysis of structure and properties of organic compounds, processing and generalization of the obtained research results will be introduced. During this practice compounds with bipolar groups and TADF effect for electronic devices will be synthesized and investigated.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

During this project, two phenanthroimidazole-based derivatives with acceptor substituent at the N1- and donor substituents at the C5, C10- and C6, C9- phenanthroimidazole positions were synthesized. The benzotrifluoride substituent was selected as an accepting moiety, 2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethyl-9,10-dihydroacridine selected as the donor moiety. The structure of the obtained compounds was proved by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry (MS) methods. The thermal and photophysical properties of the obtained compounds were investigated.
