Invitation to register for the Open Council meeting regarding the election of the KTU rector (registration and live stream)

We invite you to register for the Open Council meeting of the international competition for the post of KTU rector, which will be held on 28 April at 12 a.m. at the 2nd floor of the III Hall (Laisvės al. 13), where the KTU community will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the three candidates running for the KTU Rector’s position and their vision of how KTU should develop in the next five years. 

For those who wish to attend this meeting in person, a registration is required. The number of places is limited. Registrations will close on 27 April at 11 a.m.

Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) approved all 3 candidates who submitted their applications to run for the position of the KTU Rector. The candidates are Lithuanian citizens living in Lithuania and abroad (listed here in alphabetical order): 

1. Edmund Paul Saliklis, professor of California Polytechnic University, PhD of Civil Engineering; 

1. Renata Urbonė, PhD in Social Sciences, Management and Administration, co-owner of firm Esperonus; 

1. Eugenijus Valatka, professor, PhD of Chemical Engineering, Rector of Kaunas University of Technology. 

The next step in the election of the Rector of KTU after the Open Council meeting will be the Closed Council meeting on 16 May  at 2 p.m., during which the KTU Council will elect the Rector of the University.
