Last Friday, 261 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) bachelors, masters and doctors of science were awarded KTU Diplomas. Among them were 17 international graduates.
“Do not sell yourself for money”, urged Gitanas Nausėda, the senior economist and the counsellor to the President of SEB Bank, “if, in the future, you’ll have to choose between an interesting job with lower salary, and a less interesting job with better salary, choose the first option. In the end you will have a more interesting job, which will, eventually be paid better”.
The graduates were greeted by the Chairman of KTU Senate Rytis Krušinskas, by the Vice-Rector for Studies ad interim Kristina Ukvalbergienė, by KTU Alumni Association board member Tomas Urbonas and other community representatives and renowned people of the society.
After the ceremony, the graduates and their guests continued the celebration together with Colours of Bubbles, a young indie rock group from Šiauliai, in whose account there are already two albums and nearly 200 concerts across Europe.
