On March 12–17, the international festival “Dive into the Theatre” takes place at the National Kaunas Drama Theatre. Today is a perfect time to carefully look at the programme and to choose tickets to the performances, introduced by local and foreign theatre companies, an experimental premiere and many workshops.
“Escape the routine, dive into the theatre”, invite the organisers of the Festival. More than 40 different workshops are offering a rich choice both for theatre connoisseurs and the beginners.
“We are extremely happy to present the production of theatre companies working by interactive theatre principles, such as Kompani13 from Norway or Fidgetfeet from Ireland, who will introduce the air acrobatics play for children made together with Icelandic troupe Bird&Bat. The interactive theatre plays are engaging the viewers into communication with the play, which increases their experiences”, says Agnė Burovienė, Head of the Management Department at Kaunas National Drama Theatre.
The organisers are inviting to not to miss a special premiere of “Kaunas Wi-Fi”, a theatrical experiment in 3D, featuring Ariel Sereni Brown, Asaf Schouten (Israel) and the actors of KNDT. The play will be shown twice – on March 12 at 7 pm and on March 13 at 2 pm in Rūta’s Hall. The same Israeli theatre company will also close the festival with their new play on Sunday, March 17 at 6 pm.
The choice is vast indeed. Take a look at the programme of “Dive into the theatre” and choose your diving depth.
