Research group - Materials Engineering

Activities of the group:
1) research and development of new fibrous materials based on high technologies in the national and international context;
2) implementation of circular economy principles in the production of fibrous materials;
3) preservation of national identity through textile structures, national ornamentation of wood and other products.

In the field of functional textiles, the FP7 project 2BFUNTEX was implemented together with the University of Ghent, Belgium. The research group has collaborated with the Swiss research institute Empa, Aveiro University, Technical University of Valencia, University of Borås, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Lodze Technical University, Riga Technical University, Dresden University, University of West Attica, and others. Bilateral cooperation projects with Swiss, Ukrainian and Belarusian research institutions have been implemented.
