Geoenergy Research Group aims to develop research and innovation methods for sustainability in the subsurface while exploring the geoenergy potential. The Research Group is dynamic and aims to develop solutions in various areas, including enhanced and improved energy recovery, data mining for underground exploration, geothermal energy, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and hydrogen production and storage technologies.

Multidisciplinary team of experts collaborates at the intersection of geoscience, engineering, and data analytics to uncover untapped potential beneath the Earth’s surface. From optimising energy recovery methods to harnessing geothermal energy and pioneering carbon technologies, the research group is at the forefront of a cleaner and more efficient energy landscape. It, with its commitment to environmental sustainability and technological innovation, aims to bridge the gap between traditional energy practices and new sustainable solutions.
