Research group - Functional Food Materials

Research interests: Development of processes and technologies for biorefining of agricultural and food raw materials, by-products and waste into high-value materials for human use (food, food supplements, cosmetics) to implement the principles of the circular economy. Evaluation and application of the obtained functional materials.Search, research, evaluation and development of innovative functional materials (natural food-grade ingredients and food additives for various purposes, other health beneficial compounds, etc.) technologies of production and application. Development of processes for biorefining of food raw materials and their by-products into functional ingredients using complex extraction, fractionation, thermal, enzymatic and other treatment methods. Search, research and application of new phytochemicals in the production of functional foods, food supplements, cosmetics and other products.
