Research group - Advanced Environmental Technologies

Research interests: nano, bio and other advanced technological methods of polluted air, water, soil purification and resource recovery. Recycling of waste and recovery of valuable materials using environmentally friendly processes. Numerical and experimental modelling of pollutant decomposition/concentration processes. Process eco-efficiency assessment, analysis, design and management.Part of the important research is related to the improvement of air quality in the application of nanotechnologies. Nanofibrous materials for air filtration are formed by electric spinning and thermal electric spinning methods. In the field of water and wastewater technologies, high efficient technologies are being developed, sludge decontamination and denitrification processes are intensified in the mood of radical applications generated by better plasma inventions. Biosorption-based technologies for the removal of problematic substances from water are being developed. In the field of waste and resource recovery technologies, the technical and economic possibilities of energy resources recovery from landfills are analyzed, as well as waste experimental research on the development of vertical materials recovery technologies from multi-layer composite waste.
