The stability of sulfur meting furnace waste under hydrothermal conditions

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-10-0252

Project description:

The main goal is to examine the influence of transition metal ions on the stability of sulfur melting furnace waste under hydrothermal conditions. Chemical and mineralogical composition of sulfur melting furnace waste will be determined in this project as well as the influence of I and II transition metal groups on the stability of sulfur melting furnace waste under hydrothermal conditions will also be investigated. According to the best accomplished experimental results the inorganic material composition will be identified and measurements of other physical parameters will be performed during this project.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

Present conclusions and recommendations due to further sulfur melting furnace waste application and utilization options.
