Synthesis and study of deep-blue TTF fluorescent emitters to exceed theoretical OLED external quantum efficiency reaching 15%

Project no.: P-LLT-22-24

Project description:

The tasks of this project aim to develop a high-efficiency TTF-OLED with an EQE of over 15% for current and prospective industrial demands. The detailed investigations include the design, theoretical characterization, synthesis and identification of high-efficiency blue organic fluorescent emitters with efficient triplet-triplet fusion. The device design will take into account the properties of the most promising new TTF emitters.

Project funding:

Interngovernmental programme administrated by Research Council of Lithuania: Lithuania–Latvia–China (Taiwan)

Project results:

Publishing 4-5 scientific papers in well-respected (Q1-Q2) international journals. Participation of our scientists in at least 3 international conferences with oral or poster presentations. If our efforts to develop the synthesized novel TTF emitters will show continued promise in OLED systems, the goal will be to patent the synthesized compounds. Additionally, we plan to continue our joint efforts in the future and submit applications to other funding agencies and thus expand financial basis of this project.
