Synthesis and investigation of precious metal multifaceted nanostructures for SERS sensors

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-25-0092

Project description:

The project aims to develop the student’s abilities in research in the field of synthesis and application of precious metal nanostructures with plasmonic properties. During the internship, the student will master the methods of nanostructure synthesis, perform deposition of nanostructures on structured surfaces and investigate their possible application as SERS sensors. On the basis of the research, a scientific presentation will be delivered at the conference.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

Monodisperse silver and gold nanostructures will be synthesized and synthesis conditions will be related with their main properties. After deposition of nanoparticles on a structured surface, their possibility to use as SERS sensors will be investigated.
