Synthesis and Investigation of Novel Monomers and Polymers for Light Emitting Diodes

Project no.: TAP-LB-14-009

Project description:

The aim of this project is the design, synthesis, and study of new organic hole-transporting and electroluminescent monomers and polymers which could be applied in effective light-emitting diodes. The studies of new material properties mainly will be focussed on optical, photophysical, photoelectrical, thermal and electrochemical properties. The scientific publications will be prepared for the journals included in the Thomson Reuters database during the project implementation

Project funding:

Intergovernmental programme administrated by Research Council of Lithuania: Lithuania–Belarus

Project results:

A series of new hole-transporting and electroluminescent compounds containing carbazole, indolylcarbazole, bicarbazole, biindole, and indolyldicarbazole chromophores will be designed and synthesized in this project.
During the project five joint seminars are planned: three in Lithuania and two in Belarus.
The results of the research will be presented at the international conferences: the Baltic Polymer Symposium, the International Conference of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Lithuanian Chemical Society, the international conference Nanomeeting, as well as 3-5 joint publications in the jopurnals included in the Thomson Reuther Web of Science database.
