Synthesis and Functional Properties of Nano-sized Calcium Silicates (CaO/SiO2=1.5-2.0)

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-19-0166

Project description:

The idea of this project is to determine the influence of synthesis conditions on the formation and structure peculiarities of nano-sized calcium silicates and their compounds/derivatives (CaO/SiO2=1.5-2.0) as well as to determine the feasibility of their application in innovative technologies.
This idea will be implemented when the following intended results will have been reached during this project:
1) after having increased the reactivity and stability of nano-sized calcium silicates and their compounds;
2) after having intercalated ac_ve metal ions into the structure of calcium silicates and their compounds;
3) after having applied methodologies of internal structure determination for the characterization of calcium silicates and their compounds;
4) after having applied synthetic compounds in innovative technologies.
In order to implement the project tasks, we shall be closely cooperating with foreign and Lithuanian scientists. For the implementation of the project, we are planning 6 internships abroad, 3 internships at Lithuania, 2 international conferences and 1 training.
