The progress measure of the Science Development Program, supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Sports of the Republic of Lithuania (no. 12-001-01-02-01), identifies a key issue: the lack of skills and experience in preparing international R&D applications. To address this, the program focuses on verifying R&D ideas, seeking partners, and adopting best practices. This verification process includes obtaining expert training, consultations, and other necessary services to prepare applications and conduct a pilot study, which will assess whether the project idea aligns with the needs of the target group. This approach aims to build the knowledge and justification required for submitting applications under the European Horizon program call HORIZON-MISS-2024-CANCER-01-05 (PERSIST).
