Project no.: P-SV4-26-424
This summer internship focuses on the preparation, quality assessment and artefact detection of biological signals such as PPG, ECG and EEG. The internship topic is related to quality challenges that arise when signals are recorded in real-life conditions, including noise, motion-induced artefacts, sensor contact issues, different sampling rates and problems related to signal alignment. The internship will examine methods that enable more reliable preparation of biological signal data for further analysis, quality assessment and identification of problematic signal segments.
Project results:
During the internship, a methodology for biological signal preparation and quality assessment is planned to be developed, along with an initial prototype for signal upload, review, marking of problematic segments and data preparation for further analysis. In addition, selected filtering and artefact detection methods will be compared, and recommendations will be prepared for their application to different types of biological signals.
Period of project implementation: 2026-07-01 - 2026-08-31
