Project description:

Employers, high schools and students generally identify the same reasons that hinder the development of practical skills that are most purified and improved during student practical training (practice): • lack of a unified student placement system, • lack of training of practitioners, • insufficient representation of higher education and business representatives cooperation, • the absence of financial or other mechanisms to encourage companies to take students to practice. In order to solve this problem, the LPK together with the 5 largest Lithuanian universities initiates a joint project aimed at improving the quality of Lithuanian higher education, ensuring a high quality and efficient preparation of students for successful integration into the labor market.

Project funding:

The project is funded under Measure no. 9 of the Priority of the European Union Funds for Investments operational Program, Public Education and Enhancing Human Resources Capacity 2014-2020. 09.3.1-ESFA-K-731 “Improving the quality of studies”


Project results:

The project will achieve the following results: (1) the methodology for the organization of smart practices will be improved and adapted to the participating schools; (2) will be developed and adapted to the higher education institutions participating in the project, in the form of training and co-operation practitioners (from universities and practice institutions), as a model for both smart and traditional practices as one of the mechanisms for quality assurance of students in professional practice; (3) a package of recommendations for cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises / organizations will be drawn up; (4) The practice will be carried out by at least 480 high school partners of different specialties and graduate students
