NDTonAIR: Training Network in Non-Destructive Testing and Structural Health Monitoring of Aircraft Structures (NDTonAIR)

Project no.: 722134

Project description:

The goal is to train a new generation of scientists and engineers with a wide background of theoretical and experimental skills, capable of developing their research and entrepreneurial activities both in academy and industry and playing an active role in promoting the importance of quality inspection and structural monitoring in aerospace components.

Project funding:

The EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020”

Project results:

The goal is to develop following technologies:
• Guided wave inspection of aerospace components using contactless measurements
• Evaluation of the bonding quality using different NDT techniques: ultrasonic, EM and thermography

Period of project implementation: 2016-10-01 - 2020-09-30

Project coordinator: University of Perugia
