Lithuanian scientists, including Kaunas University of Technology, are still not sufficiently active in research and innovation programs “Horizon 2020” and “Horizon Europe”. Compared to other more advanced countries in the European Union, the success rate is also low. Analyzes of this situation show that one of the reasons is lack of competences, abilities and experience in preparing project proposals. This project would contribute to the solution of the above-mentioned problems by preparing a Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) roadmap of natural sciences in the field of renewable solar energy, which would define Kaunas University of Technology goals and results to be achieved, opportunities and threats when participating in “Horizon Europe” calls.
