Project description:

The pyrazole-based hydrazone compounds are in demand in the pharmaceutical industry, from which various new drugs are produced, and in the field of agrochemistry, used in the production of insecticides, pesticides and other agricultural preparations [Med Chem Res, 2015, 24, 2551; Intern J Med Chem, 2014, 761030].
Although much attention has recently been paid to the synthesis and research of pyrazole derivatives, simple and efficient methods for the synthesis of cyclic pyrazole systems are constantly being sought. In addition, the field of research on condensation reactions of hydrazone derivatives with a structural basis of pyrazole is promising and has not been extensively studied.
The idea of the project is to obtain new cyclic pyrazole systems from functionalized hydrazone derivatives using modern knowledge of organic chemistry and synthesis techniques. These synthesized new cyclic molecules could find practical application in medicine and other high-tech fields.

Project results:

The project aims to synthesize modified pyrazole-hydrazone derivatives from 3-hydroxypyrazole using various hydrazines in a multi-step synthesis process, from which new cyclic pyrazole systems can be obtained by regioselective synthesis. To characterize the structures of the obtained cyclic pyrazole systems by nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared spectral analysis and mass spectrometric analysis (HRMS) methods.
