Intelligent vehicles parking system (5G_PARK)

Project no.: 08-004-K-0010

Project description:

An intelligent vehicle parking system 5G_PARK based on the magnetic field of a vehicle in the 5G network is developing in the project. It will not only identify vehicles in a non-contact way in closed parking lots, but also in various remote and/or and non-wired areas of the city. This will enable the city to “turn” into a large parking lot, which, when integrated into the traffic control system, would increase its functionality by regulating traffic flow, finding the best parking way and increasing traffic safety; a lower negative impact of the vehicle transport system on climate and nature will be ensured.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by the European Union Funds for the period 2021-2027 and/or the funds of Recovery and Resilience Facility and the State Budget of the Republic of Lithuania under the measure No. 10-001-05-04-01 “Increasing the value created by the telecommunications system and the efficiency of the use of infrastructure” under the action “Designing, testing and developing digital technology solutions requiring 5G connectivity”

Project results:

At the end of the project, the pilot version of the system will be evaluated by the user, which will consist of static detection wireless magnetic field sensors for a vehicle detection, a magnetic signature processing and extraction module, a 5G communication module (concentrator), software.
