Innovative functional group application in TADF structures

Project no.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-16-0121

Project description:

The aim of this project is to synthesize new TADF emitters by pairing conventional donor groups with a new “state of the art” pentafluorosulfanylgroup like acceptor. In the recent years, this group has attracted significant attention in pharmaceutical field owing to its favorable characteristics of stronger electron accepting character, higher lipophilicity, bigger steric volume as well as better stability compared to the common trifluoromethyl group.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.

Project results:

Target compounds will be synthesized using a single-step synthesis via nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction. Photophysical, thermal and electrochemical properties of the target compounds will be investigated. Photochemical, electrochemical and morphological stability, as well as performance of target compounds in emitting layers of OLED structures will be evaluated.
