European Life Science Ecosystems (ELISE)

Project no.: PGI02179

Project description:

The ELISE project promotes a healthier and better life for all. They cover health and well-being strategies and measures, promote healthy lifestyles and aging, as well as growing markets, job creation and competitiveness in the EU. The results of the analysis, which showed the increasing correlation between the different fields of science and the innovations they created, became the basis of the ELISE activity. It is therefore necessary to coordinate systemic needs and activities not only between scientists, but also between manufacturers, health workers, consumers and public authorities. The aim of the ELISE project is to create an ecosystem that would assess the scientific, economic and social potential of life sciences in individual regions of the EU, identify barriers to development, meet human and technical resources, and limit the humanitarian impact of bioethics.

Project funding:

2014-2020 m. Interreg EUROPE Programme

Project results:

ELISE strives to bring together interested countries in the region and create a sustainable ecosystem, which in the future will develop into a cross-border one. One of the main axes of this system would be the welfare of society, created through the advancement of life sciences. An appropriate policy and its implementing measures are needed to create it.
ELISE will promote research, development and innovation, provide support to existing infrastructures, promote research in the business sector, increase the commercialization of knowledge and technology transfer, promote the creation of a new Excellence Center and improve research and innovation infrastructures.
