Project description:

The relevance of the interdisciplinary research is based on several aspects:
a) the needs for improving educational performance: the national mathematics
(a) the needs of the state mathematics matriculation examination, the results of the state mathematics matriculation examination, and the trends in the proportion of graduates achieving basic and higher levels of achievement;
b) the policy development needs: decisions taken by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport on improving mathematics achievement, European
The importance of mathematical competences for personal growth, career and national development is emphasised by the European Commission, OECD documents and
c) the need for research to enable science-based decision-making.


Project results:

Expected results: based on the results and conclusions of the study to develop scientifically based proposals for improving education policy and the educational situation for high achievers in mathematics in grades 9-12.
