The project is being conducted in collaboration with researchers from the US, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland representing the fields of engineering and social sciences. The research aims to reveal the transformation of higher education institutions’ departments responsible for engineering studies, giving priority to resilience, public value, and social impact in times of crisis. The cross-cultural project focuses on the analysis of critical barriers and support factors within the complex and varied HEI ecosystems.
Project funding:
USA-Ukraine-Baltic States and Poland initiative IMPRESS-U: International Multilateral Partnerships for Resilient Education and Science System in Ukraine
Project results:
The project focuses on a collection of rich inventory of collaborative exploratory country case studies on HEI engineering transformations, contextualized within a diverse set of ecosystems. This will help to established an active multi-disciplinary research consortium across all partner countries; will establish a strong foundation of distinct discoveries and deliverables specific to transformation, pave the way for on-going international research collaboration and proposal development, and achieve the central goal – the integration of Ukrainian researchers into the global research community.
Period of project implementation: 2025-11-01 - 2027-10-31
Project coordinator: Vilnius University
Project partners: Kaunas University of Technology
