Previous scientific studies revealed that at the moment when national Governments are implementing the COVID-19 pandemic control measures and are organizing the long-term distance teaching for children in general education schools, deterioration of children’s mental state (aggressive behaviour, depressive mood, despair caused by low academic results, etc.), insufficiency of social skills, insufficiency of knowledge in particular subjects as well as deterioration of children’s physical state caused by low physical activity and development of specific diseases are emerging as undesirable side effects.
Therefore, to balance students’ activities and compensate for the negative side effects of distance teaching, it is relevant to develop a model that would help to solve the most urgent problems and would be based on the economic expression. In this case, the model developed would help to form the budgets of general education schools in the long run and would allow to allocate the funds to the target programs.
Development of the model will comprise two stages: definition of the concept and creation of a prototype.
The Project will allow to develop an economic model and measures for managing the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic when conducting the educational process. The intended result of the Project is commercialisation of the economic model and measures for managing the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Purpose – development of a socio-economic model for managing the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the educational process.
Objectives:
1. Development of the methodology and the concept necessary for assessing the impact of distance teaching as a consequence of the pandemic.
2. Creation of an original algorithm-based prototype.
