During the implementation of the project the new partially biodegradable LDPE films having natural additives were proposed and their physical – mechanical properties were investigated. Also the experimental and numerical researches of static and dynamical characteristics were carried out of the packages made from these films.
The samples of 8 different partially biodegradable polymeric films were created. The analysis of microphotographs was carried out and also other spectroscopical, thermostability, surface energy state researches.
It was determined that the tensile strength of different type polymeric films having biodegradable additives was from 25% to 50% lower than of pure LDPE film. The researches of seal strength have showed that at 115°C sealing temperature, the tested films formed a seal of sufficient strength and it was only 22% lower than of pure LDPE film. From all tested polymeric films only one has the characteristics that could be comparable with pure LDPE and it could be used for packaging purposes.
The tested partially biodegradable films are not suitable for Braille forming using embossing type because they are characterized by a relatively high plasticity and strong relaxation properties.
