Project no.: Nr. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712-14-0046

Project description:

The aim of the project is to develop scientific excellence through a research visit, to promote interinstitutional and international cooperation in environmental sociology research and to apply the knowledge to the development of the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP). The conceptualization and operationalization of the questionnaire related to the field of environmental sociology, as currently drafted by the International Social Survey Programme, will be developed. Research activities are based on the methodological design of meta-analysis and systematic literature analysis. The objectives of the project are achieved through a 1-month duration research visit to the University of Graz. The tasks of the research visit are: (1) to perform meta-analysis of research on environmental attitudes and behavior using ISSP surveys; (2) to carry out systematic literature analysis and to investigate the extent to which data from previous ISSP Environment surveys (Environment I 1993, Environment II 2000, Environment III 2010) have been used globally for theory testing, policy making, etc.; (3) to prepare recommendations for the improvement of the ISSP 2020 Environment IV questionnaire; (4) to start developing a publication on the basis of the analysis.
