Project no.: VP1–3.1–ŠMM–02–V–02–002

Project description:

Purposeful and purposeful development of technological and informative LITNET infrastructure, improving network management and maintenance, security and data transmission solutions and services; To develop the competence of researchers and other researchers to use the latest computer network technologies and services, using the LITNET network as the basis for research and experimentation

Project funding:

European Union Structural funds

Project results:

The infrastructure of the Digital Identity Federation was created for researchers and researchers from Lithuanian academic institutions
New network protocols have been installed on the LITNET network and substantially improved the management of audio, video and other data flows and the quality of transmission (4 protocols, 4 user manuals, 5 documentation packages, 10 persons)
Installed and provided to researchers the virtualization tools and services for computing and data storage resources (3 technological virtualization solutions, 3 documentation packages)
Installed tools and services for network security and data transfer efficiency research (50 nominee security certificate researchers; 3 software tools developed, 3 documents for users)
Preparation of non-formal education program Gigabit Nets Technologies and Services and conducting of training (1 program, trained 50 persons).
Created Web Portal for the project
