Recovering gold and other valuable raw materials from electronic waste using low-impact technologies.
Project funding:
Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.
Project results:
This project will create a new knowledge base that will include:
? Technological innovations: New methods and technologies for extracting resins from WPCB, separating metals from WPVP and using recycled materials in the production of new products will significantly increase recycling efficiency and reduce environmental pollution.
? Determination of optimal conditions: The project will create optimal technological conditions for each process step, including temperature, solvent concentration and ultrasound parameters, in order to ensure maximum recovery of raw materials.
? Application of circular economy principles: Newly developed technologies will help to establish the principles of a circular economy, ensuring that as much waste as possible is recycled and reused.
Period of project implementation: 2021-09-01 - 2022-03-31
