Project description:

INNOTECH2GROW aims to enhance the competitiveness and research excellence of the experienced researcher in the sub-areas of organisation studies and competitiveness, innovation, research and development as well as to deploy her advanced knowledge, skills, capabilities and international networks to help technological SMEs and star-ups to work out economically sound and sustainable innovation performance in global dynamic markets. In that way Innotech2grow also contributes to the societal challenge – Europe in a changing world – Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies, in particular economic recovery, entrepreneurship careers, and sustainable long-term growth with focus on co-creation for growth in the context of dynamic strategic and geopolitical change. To meet the aim Innotech2grow encompass several key activities, such as: empirical research projects; training for developing research and transferable skills, including advancements in research methodology and data mining, publishing in top management journals, exploitation of research results, etc.; intersectorial transfer of knowledge through the secondment in technological SME or start-up; organisation and participation in scientific and dissemination events; research management, communication and other horizontal skills development including training on female researcher career management and self-reliance. Integrated and well balanced hands-on research, training and exploitation of research results program hosted at Institute for Business Innovation at Haas School of Business, University of California Berkley, USA and return phase at Kaunas University of Technology, including secondment in Lund University, SE result with enhanced quality and worldwide visibility of the publications, international Principle investigator career, extended research and professional networks as well as prototype of the method helping technological SMEs and start-ups to foster their competitiveness in global markets.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by the European Social Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments, under measure’s No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 acitivity “Improving skills of researchers through individual Horizon 2020 R&D projects”.


Project results:

Manuscripts of 3 scientific articles will be prepared: 1 conceptual article revealing the impact of different innovation economies / countries on the development of the dynamic skills of technological enterprises and published in the Q2 journal; 2 manuscripts of empirical scientific articles add Q1, Q2 journals (for example: Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, Organizational Science, etc.). The results of the study will be presented at at least 2 scientific conferences, such as SMS, AOM, EURAM, EGOS, BAM, etc. 6 US and 6 Swedish case studies, developed and included in the “Business Development Guide”, on how to improve the financial results of technology companies through the strengthening of the firm’s dynamic capabilities.
