Kaunas University of Technology invites to the workshop “Gates to Student Campus“ that is a part of Kaunas Architecture Festival KAFe. The main aim of the workshop is to create the concept for Kaunas University of Technology campus GATES – the entrances to the campus that are clearly perceptible. The gates can have various forms: sculptures/signs with the name of the campus, information stands or other spatial objects.
The concept for campus gates can comprise various ideas: from unconventional architecture forms to innovative renewable energy or smart technology objects, or any other art and technology installations. The object of the workshop is complex, therefore not only spatial expression will be evaluated. Other criteria include the validity of a proposed idea, link with the context, innovation, functionality and other aspects.
The workshop welcomes students and professionals from the fields of architecture, civil/industrial design and who would like to include the project into their portfolio. Teams of participants can also include specialists from the fields of engineering, IT, marketing or other. The teams should consist of up to 5 members.
Participation is free. The number of workshop participants is limited.
Registration for teams is valid until the 6th of November via e-mail email@example.com
